A.Milton felt as if his verse was guided by the Holy Spirit and all or most of his epic poems were based on the background of a christian subject.
2.Why is 'Paradise Lost' considered the greatest biblical epic poem?
A.Milton writes in ten books about the fall of grace from Adam and Eve which has come from the famous book known as THE BIBLE. Many other poets looked up to this piece and wrote famous poems about it because within this story, Satan was the epic hero and GOD was the tyrant of Heaven which changes up the story and meaning of the Paradise in THE BIBLE
3.How has Milton influenced other people and writers?
A.Milton's poetry had great influence on the 18th century. He also made pamphlets that sided with the Civil War and religious rights. Milton also wrote propaganda that tried to justify Charlse I's death. In addition he had influence on George Eliot, and Thomas Hardy, Victorian elged writers. While his impact dwindled during the 20th century, he did impact the modern world. He had many familiar words coined. Finally, when they were writing the constitution of the United States of America, they consulted his works.
